About Silvia
I have a MSc in Biotechnology (La Sapienza University of Rome), a Master Degree in Human Nutrition and Metabolism (Universitat de Barcelona) and a PhD in Sport Nutrition (University of Ghent in Belgium & Aspire Academy of Doha in Qatar). I am the author of a book in the field “Microbiota and Sport” (Clorofilla Publisher – Microbioma.it) as I co-authored several scientific publications in the microbiology field as well as sport nutrition and ergogenic supplements. As expert in the field, I constantly strive for improvement. I work with sedentary, physically active people and/or athletes to help them improving their dietary habits, lifestyle and physical performance. I am currently involved in several research projects, not just in sport and nutrition but also in the human microbiota science. One is in the human skin and gut microbiota with La Cattolica University of Rome (Italy); another project delas with the use of insects as alternative feeding for farming animals with Ghent University (Belgium) and the Zooprofilact Institute of Lazio and Toscana (Italy); a third project focus on triathletes and their gut microbiota fluctuations in response to exercise, together with the Spit University (Croatia).
